MT-1885 Industrial Digital Multimeter

A digital multimeter is a test tool used to measure two or more electrical values—principally voltage (volts), current (amps) and resistance (ohms). It is a standard diagnostic tool for technicians in the electrical/electronic industries.

This is often posed as a question to us. If you are involved in any type of electrical work, insulated tools come highly recommended. (They may even come as a requirement depending upon the job). Remember that, just because your screwdriver or pliers have (RED) plastic handles, this doesn’t mean or guarantee they can and will insulate you from an electrical shock. (ZAP)

Insulated tools are designed to protect you against injury in the event that you make contact with an energized source. Every insulated tool must be marked with the year it was insulated and an official 1,000-volt rating symbol, which ensures you will be protected for live use up to 1,000 VAC or 1,500 VDC (there are TOO many fake & (cheap and nasty) tools that are actually a health hazard.
